Founded in 1997 by Gerry Rooney who was born and raised in Uddingston, outside Glasgow, Scotland. He began his piping tuition with Fred Morrison, Sr. and later studied at the College of Piping with P/M Angus Mac Donald, M.B.E. Upon moving to the U.S.A., he spent many years with George M. Bell in Parlin, N.J. and Donald F. Lindsay at Invermark College of Piping, New York.
During his piping career, Gerry earned many awards including 85 1 st and 2nd place prizes in various competitions, including Piper of the Day at Delco Scottish Games 1985 and Piper of the Day Capital District Games 1994. He has been featured in various newspapers, radio shows and television programs in- cluding NBC's Today Show from New York.
Gerry held the position of piping instructor at the United States Military Academy at West Point from 1999 till 2007.
Gerry has a Masters Degree and eighteen years experience in industrial technology. Coupling these skills with his knowledge of piping led to the formation of Pipeline Bagpipes. One of the world's finest sounding and most technically innovative bagpipes.
